Khaolak Bayfront Resort Takuapa, Takuapa

The hotel offers fantastic views of the sea, mountains, and green corridors leading to the beach, pools, massage shacks, and restaurants. The rooms were not up to the usual high Thai standards of maintenance or decoration we have experienced at other resorts. The service was so helpful and accommodating, although some staff seemed disengaged. The location is outstanding with beautiful pools and easy access to the town, but there was an awful sewage smell in the vicinity. The dining experience was good but could have been more interesting. Overall, a mixed experience with some highlights and drawbacks.
